The brief
A self-initiated product concept: taking an ambiguous idea and shaping it into something scoped, prioritised and testable.
The challenge
Starting from a blank page. The risk with a concept is doing everything and finishing nothing, this was as much about deciding what to leave out as what to build.
How I ran it
- 01Framed a single, clear user need and scoped ruthlessly around it.
- 02Sequenced research → flows → prototype so each stage informed the next.
- 03Prioritised features against the core need and parked the rest.
- 04Built a testable prototype to pressure-test the idea.
What I managed
- Scope & priorities
- Research
- Flows
- Prototype
Outcome
Turned an ambiguous idea into a scoped, prioritised product concept with a testable prototype.
- Turned an open-ended idea into a focused, prioritised product concept.
- Ended with a testable prototype and a clear rationale for every decision.
