The brief

A self-initiated product concept: taking an ambiguous idea and shaping it into something scoped, prioritised and testable.

The challenge

Starting from a blank page. The risk with a concept is doing everything and finishing nothing, this was as much about deciding what to leave out as what to build.

How I ran it

  1. 01Framed a single, clear user need and scoped ruthlessly around it.
  2. 02Sequenced research → flows → prototype so each stage informed the next.
  3. 03Prioritised features against the core need and parked the rest.
  4. 04Built a testable prototype to pressure-test the idea.

What I managed

  • Scope & priorities
  • Research
  • Flows
  • Prototype
Outcome

Turned an ambiguous idea into a scoped, prioritised product concept with a testable prototype.

  • Turned an open-ended idea into a focused, prioritised product concept.
  • Ended with a testable prototype and a clear rationale for every decision.
