A brand system that holds up everywhere it lands.
Brand strategy, identity design and the system underneath: logo, typography, colour, art direction and the guidelines that keep it consistent. I have rebranded businesses across 15+ industries, and because I also design the website and the collateral, the identity does not fall apart the moment it leaves the PDF.

How it runs
Discovery
Who you actually are, who you are for, and who you are up against. I get into the business before I get into the design.
Strategy and positioning
The idea the brand stands on: positioning, personality and the message. Everything visual gets judged against this later.
Identity design
Logo, typography, colour and art direction, designed as a set rather than a logo with decoration bolted on afterwards.
The system
How it behaves across every touchpoint, documented in guidelines your team and any future designer can actually follow.
Rollout
Applied to the real things: website, collateral, signage, social. This is where most identities fall apart, and where building the website myself pays off.
Work like this
An identity that survives contact with the website
Plenty of brand books look immaculate as a PDF and collapse the moment someone builds the site. Because I design the identity and then design and build the website and the collateral myself, the system gets stress-tested against real screens and real content while there is still time to fix it.
Very quick with his replies, even asap despite the 7-hour time difference. He accommodated most of my requirements and offered solutions and alternatives for the ones he couldn't, which I really appreciate.
Questions people ask
What is included in a branding project?
Typically brand strategy and positioning, logo and identity design, a typography and colour system, art direction, and guidelines documenting how it all behaves. Collateral and print, and the website itself, can be part of the same project.
What is the difference between a logo, an identity and a brand?
The logo is one mark. The identity is the whole visual system: type, colour, imagery, layout and how they behave together. The brand is what people actually think of you, which the identity supports but does not replace. I design the system, not just the mark.
Can you rebrand a business that already exists?
Yes, and much of my work is exactly that. A rebrand means working out what is worth keeping, what is holding you back and what recognition you would be throwing away, before redrawing anything.
Do I get brand guidelines?
Yes. You get documentation your team or any future designer can follow, covering logo usage, typography, colour, spacing and the tone of the visual language, so the brand stays consistent after I hand it over.
Can you do the website as part of the branding?
Yes, and it usually produces a better result. When the same person designs the identity and builds the site, the brand is proven against real content rather than presented on an idealised mockup.
