Project Overview
The U.S. Center for Dairy Excellence supports the global promotion and education of U.S. dairy products. Their website serves as a central platform for sharing recipes, resources, and booking educational sessions or room facilities. I was brought in to redesign and rebuild the site, focusing on performance, flexibility, and ease of use for both administrators and visitors.
Problem
The previous website had serious responsiveness issues and was difficult to maintain. It lacked proper content organization, making updates tedious and time-consuming. Additionally, there was no streamlined way for users to book rooms or sessions, resulting in manual back-and-forth communication that slowed down operations.
Solution
I redesigned the website from the ground up using WordPress, with a fully responsive layout and a custom-built backend tailored for easy content management. I implemented a dynamic recipe filtering system so users could explore recipes by category and type, improving discoverability and engagement.
To improve operational efficiency, I also developed an integrated booking system that allows users to schedule room usage or register for events directly through the website. Combined with a clean, modern interface and lightweight build, the new website is not only faster and more intuitive but also scalable for future needs.
